Florida State Announces One-Year Extension For Head Coach Jimbo Fisher

(Photo by Al Messerschmidt/Getty Images) Getty ImagesFlorida State announced a one-year contract extension for head coach Jimbo Fisher on Thursday in what was more of a procedural move than anything else. Fisher’s financial terms will remain the same, with an extra year tacked onto the end of the current contract. The extension, of sorts, will keep Fisher under contract through the 2016 season.
For his part, Fisher expressed gratitude in a statement that went along with the announcement of the contract extension.
