Oregon State freshman Fred Thompson has passed away after suffering a heart attack, according to multiple reports.
The reports came from multiple Oregon State beat writers, including Paul Buker and Cliff Kirkpatrick.
Just heard from multiple places that Oregon State freshman DT Fred Thompson died from a heart attack in the Dixon Rec tonight.
Been told that OSU defensive lineman Fred Thompson died of a heart attack tonight at Dixon Rec on campus
A Dixon Rec employee did not release information about Thompson’s passing, and information is scarce at this point.
Dixon Rec employee told Comcast’s Brandon Sprague no info. being released at this time ... do not know if Fred was playing basketball, or what the circumstances were.
