Ohio State Football Recruiting: Jim Tressel’s Troubles Tanking Buckeyes?

It’s hard to believe it took this long, but the Jim Tressel investigation is starting to send ripples into Ohio State football recruiting. Bri’onte Dunn, a highly-regarded running back out of Canton’s Glenoak High School, told Ohio State’s 247Sports arm that he’s reconsidering his commitment to the Buckeyes:

He says “I’m going to visit Michigan and I’m going to visit other schools too. I’m just keeping my options open at this point.“When asked if the Jim Tressel news is affecting his recruitment, he said: “Yeah, I don’t know what’s going to happen.

Dunn, classified by our friends at Rivals as a “Big, bruising tailback that gets most of his yards after contact,” had offers from Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Penn State, and Tennessee before pledging his allegiance to the Bucks. A recruit with his talent can afford to do some window-shopping during a fast-tracked investigation, and he’ll find one open door after another along the way.
