For months, former N.C. State Wolfpack Russell Wilson has been reportedly considering a transfer to play football for the Wisconsin Badgers, who are lacking a clear-cut starter at quarterback. After also considering the Auburn Tigers and a career in professional baseball, Wilson appears to have finally settled on the decision he was originally expected to make, as he is reportedly transferring to Wisconsin.
Russell Wilson Transfering To Wisconsin From N.C. State, According To Report
Wilson threw for 28 touchdowns and 14 interceptions last year for the Wolfpack, but he left the university after a disagreement with coach Tom O'Brien about his potential baseball career and his commitment to the team. He could be a potentially huge coup for the Badgers, who are left scrambling for a legitimate starting quarterback after the graduation of Scott Tolzien, the team's starter for the last two seasons. Curt Phillips and Joe Brennan were expected to battle it out for the starting job, but the more athletic and experienced Wilson will probably become Bret Bielema's starting quarterback instantly.
