Abraham Lincoln said, “Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt.” Enter University of Miami President Donna Shalala, who made the following comments to Time Magazine a few weeks ago in one of the most poorly-timed interviews ever.
Donna Shalala ‘Has No Tolerance...For Breaking Rules’
“I have no tolerance,” she insisted, “for breaking rules.”
In our interview, Shalala insisted that the kind of booster-perpetrated football depravity Shapiro narrates “wouldn’t have lasted two minutes under me.”

The Time article talks about how the allegations have overshadowed her otherwise sterling run as the President of the University she turned into of the nation’s top 50 universities. Unfortunately for her, the Nevin Shapiro scandal has a good chance to be the first thing anyone thinks of when they think of her tenure, which could end sooner than later if many allegations are proven to be true.
