Miami Hurricanes head coach announced Tuesday that he has suspended wide receiver Aldarius Johnson indefinitely for a violation of team rules.

Johnson was not one of the eight Hurricanes suspended for their involvement in the Nevin Shapiro allegations. However Johnson was named in detail in those alleged violations.

Johnson reportedly received multiple cash gifts, food and drinks, trips to a strip club, trips to a restaurant and other assorted benefits from Shapiro.

In three seasons with Miami, Johnson has 62 catches for 765 yards and four touchdowns. He was expected to battle for a starting wideout spot as a senior this season. However, he might not even see the field at all now.

Johnson was ranked as the No. 58 player overall in the Class of 2008.
