The UTEP Miners held a 14-0 lead over the Houston Cougars at one point, and I'm glad we were able to document such a score. Houston got on the board with six minutes left in the second quarter, and within two minutes of game time had achieved a 21-14 lead.
Houston Vs. UTEP Halftime Score: Miners Surrender Surge, Keep Mining
A 40-yard Charles Sims touchdown, a Nick Lamaison interception, another Sims touchdown and a Marcus McGraw fumble return touchdown happened pretty much all at once, making this one look something more like you'd expect.
Lamaison struck back, however, leading the Miners on a nine-play, 63-yard drive that concluded with a 21-yard touchdown to Mike Edwards. So, yeah, the score is tied at the half between the 4-0 Cougars, who have one of the nation’s best offenses and the soon-to-be most productive quarterback of all time, and UTEP, which is UTEP.
