After some eligibility troubles that kept starting safety and punt return assistant Johnny Thomas and starting wide receiver Michael Harrison out of the team's opener, Harrison was found eligible for the season. Thomas won't be quite so fortunate, according to his Facebook profile.

There’s still no word on what exactly caused all this. Cowboys Ride For Free was puzzled at the time. More than one athlete has said something on Facebook or Twitter just to get fans and fellow students to stop hassling, but this one seems well outside the realm of that.
Thomas, a senior from Texas City, started 11 games last year and has played in all of his seasons in Stillwater. He’s been credited with 78 tackles, three interceptions and two forced fumbles in that time.
