Karl Malone’s Son, Karl Jr., Commits To LSU, According To Report

NBA Hall-of-Famer Karl Malone’s son, Karl Malone Jr., a 300-pound offensive lineman, has committed to LSU, along with two other big guys.

File this one away under "You are so old." Karl Malone's son, Karl Malone Jr., has committed to play football for the LSU Tigers, along with two other recruits, according to a CBS report, in a big weekend for head coach Les Miles.

Malone's son goes by K.J., and he'll be joined in Baton Rouge by defensive end Michael Patterson and defensive tackle Tevin Lawson. Malone's father, Hall-of-Famer Karl, is a self-professed country boy who went to nearby Louisiana Tech for basketball. K.J. is 300 pounds and well-built for football however, and it appears he won't follow in dear-old-dad's footsteps.

The three commitments make up a third of LSU’s now nine-part recruiting class for the 2013 season, and they are clearly ahead of the game so far. Malone’s half-brother, Demetrius Bell, is a free agent defensive end who most recently played for the Buffalo Bills.
