Todd McShay: Ryan Tannehill Has Better Tools Than Matt Barkley

As we get closer and closer to the 2012 NFL Draft, you'll begin to hear some wild and outlandish opinions on players in the draft compared to players in past and future drafts. ESPN Draft Analyst Todd McShay on a conference call on Thursday made a comment that had a lot of people raise an eyebrow about Texas A&M quarterback Ryan Tannehill.

A lot of people are going to attribute this to the recent wave of hype that Tannehill has been gaining as the “other” possible first-round quarterback. McShay isn’t necessarily wrong, as most scouts tend to believe Tannehill is more athletic and has a stronger arm, but Matt Barkely is widely believed right now to be the first quarterback taken in the 2013 NFL Draft, so it’s certainly going to ruffle some feathers.
