Max Garcia Visiting Wisconsin, Choosing Destination Soon

Former Maryland Terrapins offensive lineman Max Garcia, who fled College Park at the same time as Danny O'Brien, has narrowed his list of potential landing places to five, telling the Atlanta Journal-Constitution he plans on making a decision by the end of April. He's visiting the Wisconsin Badgers this weekend.

Rounding out his top five are the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida Gators, Mississippi Rebels and USC Trojans. The Georgia native began his tour of the country with a spate of SEC visits, with the South Carolina Gamecocks and Vanderbilt Commodores also reportedly showing interest. Since then, he's expanded his range quite a bit, but the Atlanta paper still lists the Dawgs as the team to beat.

Wisconsin could also have a leg up, as they’ve obtained the services of O’Brien for next year, even though Garcia won’t be eligible to play in 2012. He started all 12 games for Maryland last year.
