Garcia reportedly favored Georgia early in the process, as he's a native of the Peach State. He exited Maryland at the same time as quarterback Danny O'Brien, who ended up transferring to Wisconsin. Garcia's most recent visit was to the Badgers.
He’s started a number of games in his college career, and will have to sit out a year before he can play next.
