Jake Stoneburner, Jack Mewhort Arrested For Evading Police

Turns out, Ohio State TE Jake Stoneburner wasn’t alone when he was arrested early Saturday morning for “obstructing official business.” In addition to Stoneburner, police also arrested offensive lineman Jack Mewhort, as well as a third person who isn’t affiliated with the Buckeyes’ football team.

So what caused the arrest? Details are beginning to emerge.

Police told 10TV News that two officers saw the three men who they believed were urinating between buildings. The officers attempted to talk with them but they ran away.

Two of them were captured while they were crouched in between vehicles in a parking area used for the nearby Memorial Tournament, police said. The third person was found hiding in nearby woods after officers threatened to use a police dog.

That doesn’t sound good, and our Ohio State blog, Land-Grant Holy Land, is none too pleased with what might come next.
