A guidance counselor falsified the high school transcript of Auburn freshman Jovon Robinson, according to a Friday report from the Memphis Commercial Appeal’s Kyle Veazey.

The Wooddale High guidance counselor in question has resigned, according to a statement from Memphis City Schools.

“The District has clear and strict policies and procedures regarding student transcripts,” the statement read. “Academic fraud is not and will not be tolerated and will be dealt with swiftly and accordingly.“The statement also indicates that the NCAA has been in contact with Wooddale High about the veracity of Robinson’s transcript. If Robinson’s transcript was falsified, he could be ruled ineligible to play in 2012 and beyond by the NCAA.

Robinson was rated a four-star running back by Rivals in the Class of 2012, and ranked 10th nationally at the position. Auburn would likely face no NCAA punishment in this case, unless it had prior knowledge of the issue.
