Auburn Football: RB Jovon Robinson Ruled Ineligible Due To High School Transcript

Auburn recruit Jovon Robinson was ruled ineligible after an investigation determined at least one of his high school grades had been improperly changed.

Jovon Robinson has been ruled ineligible to play after an investigation determined that at least one of his grades was changed without proper approval, according to a report from Rivals.com. Robinson was expected to bring his skills to the Auburn Tigers, but he may be headed for junior college instead. A guidance counselor from Wooddale High School in Memphis has resigned after admitting to altering a student's grades without approval.

Robinson, a four-star recruit, had been committed to Auburn since 2011 and had been on campus practicing with the team since May of 2012. He now knows his status with the team, but even before the investigation had concluded, the uncertainty of the issue was limiting Robinson’s ability to establish himself on the Tigers’ depth chart.
