According to Coley Harvey of the Orlando Sentinel, former Florida State star Greg Reid has torn his ACL and will miss the entire 2012 season.

Reid, if you recall, was dismissed by FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher on Aug. 1 following his second arrest in as many years. In addition to violating several team rules, Reid was charged with possession of marijuana, resisting arrest and perjury.

Less one day after being dismissed from the team, the defensive back transferred to Valdosta State, a Division II school, which is located in his home town of Valdosta, Ga.

Reid was eligible to play immediately, since he was transferring from an FBS school to an FCS school. He was once considered a top prospect and had hopes of being selected in the 2013 NFL draft.
