Nebraska head coach Bo Pelini is back at work Sunday after leaving Saturday’s game against Arkansas State for precautionary health reasons, the Associated Press reports.
Bo Pelini Returns To Work Sunday After Brief Hospital Stay
Pelini was taken to the hospital for further testing after team doctors were seen checking his pulse on the sidelines. He was later released after being cleared at the Lincoln hospital. From SI.com:
Nebraska athletic department spokesman Keith Mann said in a text message to The Associated Press on Sunday that Pelini was back at work.
"Normal Sunday,'' Mann said.
Nebraska’s two coordinators, Tim Beck and John Papuchis, took over the coaching duties after Pelini left the game and was unable to return.
The Cornhuskers ended up defeating Arkansas State 42-13 in Pelini's absence to improve to 2-1 on the season. Nebraska got 167 yards and two touchdowns from sophomore running back Ameer Abdullah in the win.
