Bo Pelini Has ‘Clean Bill Of Health’ After Scare For Nebraska

Nebraska Cornhuskers head coach Bo Pelini has been given a clean bill of health.

Pelini was suffering from flu-like symptoms and had to leave Nebraska’s game against Arkansas State Saturday. He was taken to the hospital in an ambulance. Pelini had his pulse checked earlier in the game, later saying, “I’m OK. I’m fine. Not feeling real good.” Defensive coordinator John Papuchis took over in Pelini’s absence.

Pelini spoke at his weekly news conference Monday and said, “I’m not just healthy. I’m very healthy.” He said he has no heart condition or illness and that Saturday was an “isolated incident.”

He admitted he was suffering from an upset stomach on Saturday before he went to the hospital, but he left the hospital later that day. Sunday, he was back to work watching game film.
