Fresno State Vs. Oregon Final Score: Ducks Take Care Of Business, Win 42-25

The No. 4 Oregon Ducks took care of business at home and beat the unranked Fresno State Bulldogs by a score of 42-25. The Ducks controlled the game throughout the four quarters, but the offense uncharacteristically slipped in the second half.

The Ducks opened up the game as according to their custom, with a quick four play drive that resulted into a touchdown and a five play drive that also got into the endzone. The defense also was too strong for the Bulldogs offense, allowing just a pair of field goals in the first half.

However, the quick-strike Ducks offense slipped in the second half and were unable to put points on the board as we are accustomed to seeing. In fact, the team scored just seven points in the second half and were held scoreless in the third quarter.

The team cannot be too happy about that, but otherwise it was a successful game for the Ducks as they were led by their running backs for most of the game.

Box Score Hero: Ducks running back Kenjon Barner took 34 carries for the team and rushed for 199 yards and three touchdowns. Fresno State's running back Robbie Rouse took the ball 26 times for 103 yards, taking one for a touchdown as well.

Rankings Ramifications: There likely won’t be much movement for either team here. The Ducks took care of business and beat an unranked opponent by 17 points.

But Did They Cover? The line opened up at 33.5 points and closed right there or .5 points in either direction. Regardless, the Ducks were unable to even come close to covering as they only won by 17 points.

Next Week's Schedule: The Ducks will stay right here at Autzen Stadium and wait until Sept. 15 to take on the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles. The Bulldogs will look to recover on the same date against the Colorado Buffaloes.
