When the Oklahoma Sooners begin their pro day workouts on Wednesday, March 13, a couple of prospects will likely be under the scouts' microscopes more than others.
Oklahoma pro day 2013: Players scheduled to workout March 13
Landry Jones is among the Sooners set to participate at the school’s pro day workouts in advance of the NFL Draft.
Quarterback Landry Jones saw his draft stock flat-line at the NFL Combine. His athleticism and mobility were lacking -- especially in that 40-yard dash. Still, Jones has the experience and build that can translate to the NFL, making him the top quarterback prospect in the 2013 Lewin Career Forecast, which takes multiple factors into consideration when trying to anticipate a player's future. Jones is the 11th-ranked signal-caller in SB Nation's position rankings.
The best prospect at Oklahoma's pro day is offensive tackle Lane Johnson. Currently projected as the 11th overall pick in Dan Kadar's post-combine mock draft for SB Nation, Johnson is in the upper echelon of offensive linemen who'll likely be selected in the first round of the draft.
Other Sooners participating in pro day workouts include cornerback Demontre Hurst, safety Tony Jefferson, linebacker Tom Wort, defensive end David King, defensive tackles Jamarkus McFarland and Stacy McGee and wide receiver Kenny Stills. Stills will also be one to watch after running the 40-yard dash in 4.38 seconds at the combine.
