NFL pro days 2013: Arkansas, Oregon State among schools conducting workouts Friday

Six schools will hold their pro day workouts on Friday, and there are plenty of guys who will be trying to make a positive impression on NFL front offices.

More NFL pro days are set to get underway Friday as college prospects do their best to improve their draft stock by impressing the league’s scouts. Workouts will be conducted at Arkansas, Kansas, Oregon State, San Jose State, Georgia Southern and Georgia State.

At Arkansas, much of the attention will be on quarterback Tyler Wilson, who could be one of the top five players at his position in the 2013 NFL Draft class as well as a first-round selection. Other draft prospects include running back Knile Davis, who has been plagued by injuries, and wide receiver Cobi Hamilton, who may end up being a mid-rounder.

At Oregon State, cornerback Jordan Poyer and wide receiver Markus Wheaton will try to build on their NFL Combine efforts. Wheaton impressed scouts at the combine with his quickness and could end up drafted in the first few rounds come April.

San Jose State offensive lineman David Quessenberry is another NFL prospect working out Friday, as is Georgia Southern safety J.J. Wilcox, who already has improved his stock a bit with a strong performance at the Senior Bowl in January.
