Texas A&M is hosting its pro day Friday and the biggest news so far is that hybrid defensive end Damontre Moore bench pressed more than he did at the NFL Combine.

At the combine, Moore put up the standard 225-pound weight 12 times, which isn’t exactly a lot by NFL Draft prospect standards. At pro day (results from Texas A&M football’s Twitter account), Moore cranked out 19, a much better number in relation to others, though its on-field relevance is certainly up for debate. Moore is the third-ranked defensive end prospect in SB Nation’s position rankings written by Matthew Fairburn.
The 5-10-5 drill is a series of sprints going, you guessed it, five yards one direction, ten yards in the opposite direction and finishing with a five-yard sprint back to the finish. In this event, which measures a player’s bursts of speed and acceleration, Moore posted a time of 4.34 seconds. Then he completed the 3-cone drill in 6.95 seconds.

Elsewhere at Aggie pro day wide receiver Uzoma Nwachukwu and defensive back C.J. Jones posted impressive verticals, with Jones jumping 40.5 inches and Nwachukwu leaping 39.5. Jones also ran the 40-yard dash in 4.36 seconds while Nwachukwu ran it in 4.47 seconds.
Defensive backs Dustin Harris and Steven Campbell both burned in the 40-yard dash, as Harris posted a 4.4-second time and Campbell ran a 4.44. They didn't run quite like defensive back Steven Terrell, however, who notched a 4.36 40 time. Texas A&M's official football Twitter feed has the video here. Terrell then bested his time in his second run, recording a 4.35 40.
Finally, in celebrity news, John Wilson of KBTX TV in Bryan, Texas reports that New York Jets head coach Rex Ryan is in attendance.
