2013 NFL mock draft: Barrett Jones to Tennessee Titans

Even after giving big money to Andy Levitre, more help is needed at guard/center for the Titans.

The Tennessee Titans shelled out $46.8 million to free agent guard Andy Levitre in March in an attempt to shore up their interior offensive line. Music City Miracles believes that more reinforcements at guard (or center) could be on the way in the 2013 NFL Draft.

Jimmy Morris: "The Titans upgraded their interior offensive line when they signed Andy Levitre, but they still need another starter to add to the mix. They already have Fernando Velasco who can play center or guard well. Adding Barrett Jones gives them even more flexibility in the middle of the line. It also gives them depth if one guy gets hurt.

"Jones has been knocked down a little bit through the draft process because he doesn’t have some of the measurables teams are looking for, but is a good football player who will be a really solid pro for a decade plus."

Here’s our own Dan Kadar to break down the pick:

As a big-time fan of Jones, I like this choice. The intangible assets Jones possesses are unique. He would quickly become one of the leaders of the team and the smartest player on the line. The thing to remember about Jones is that he played part of last season with an injury to his Lisfranc joint, and it required surgery. As much as Jones denied it, it had to affect his play as a senior. Because he got pushed around some last season, it’s easy to forget just how good he was in 2011 at guard.

We've got one more pick today, with yours truly making the Buffalo Bills' No. 41 overall pick at 3PM ET.
