AFC Championship Game: Aqib Talib leaves with thigh injury

Aqib Talib was forced from Sunday’s championship game with a thigh injury. His return is questionable.

New England cornerback Aqib Talib has left Sunday's AFC Championship Game with a thigh injury. His return is officially questionable.

Talib suffered the injury after breaking up a pass intended for Anquan Boldin. He tried to loosen his leg up on the sidelines, but later went into the locker room. Talib was mostly covering Boldin before his injury. Kyle Arrington is taking his place now.

Talib was traded from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the middle of the season, and provided an immediate boost to New England's questionable secondary. He had 19 tackles and one interception in the regular season.

This injury is a significant concern if Talib is not able to return. Arrington was one of the Patriots' biggest liabilities in pass coverage before the Talib trade forced him into reduced playing time. Look for Joe Flacco to exploit this situation.

The Ravens currently lead 7-3 in the second quarter.
