On Sunday, the Baltimore Ravens secured their spot in Super Bowl XLVII by defeating Tom Brady and the New England Patriots. It was a tremendous win by the franchise -- perhaps one of the most important in their organization's history.
Ravens vs. Patriots 2013, AFC Championship: Ravens ascend to ‘world’s biggest stage’
After the Baltimore Ravens’ big win on Sunday, we breakdown the fan’s reaction to Ray Lewis and company’s return to the Super Bowl.
Zachary Beard of Baltimore Beatdown provided us with a post-game reaction:
For the first time in a decade the Baltimore Ravens have managed to make it the biggest stage in the NFL: the Super Bowl. If anyone deserves it, it is the Baltimore Ravens. The fanbase has had to suffer through two heartbreaking AFC Championship losses in the last 5 years and finally have made it to the Super Bowl!!! Words cannot describe how much this win means to the entire Ravens franchise!!!
Ladies and gentlemen... THE BALTIMORE RAVENS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!!
The Ravens have indeed suffered some tough losses as of recent. They have been annual contenders, but primarily because of the New England Patriots and Pittsburgh Steelers, the Ravens have been unable to get over the hump. However, the Baltimore offense has finally caught up to it's defense, and it's made them a legitimate threat.
Ray Lewis' "last ride" continues and it could culminate in a second Super Bowl championship for the future Hall of Fame linebacker.
