Vikings Vs. Jets: Brett Favre’s First Bomb To Randy Moss Unsuccessful
They waited until their third offensive possession, but the Vikings finally tried to go deep to Randy Moss. With the ball at midfield and man coverage by Jets corner Antonio Cromartie, Brett Favre tossed a jump ball along the left sideline, but Cromartie, who this week criticized Moss for “putting on the brake” in the second half of their Week 2 showdown, was able to jump up and punch the ball away just as was about to land in Moss’ outstretched hands.
Through the end of the first quarter, Moss has no receptions and Favre is 1-for-3, with his only completion a 19-yard pass to Percy Harvin.
