Teammate Ryan Longwell, one of the three Vikings players who went to Mississippi to get Favre to return prior to this season, told ESPN’s Michelle Tafoya that Favre was crying when he addressed the team earlier Monday and said his statement was similar to the one Favre gave on the day after his father died in December 2003. Longwell was then teammates with Favre on the Packers and the team went on to beat the Oakland Raiders in that now classic Monday Night Football game.
