Vikings Vs. Packers: Aaron Rodgers Tops INT Total From 2009

Rodgersallen_medium

Aaron Rodgers came into the 2010 season already subsumed in the category of elite quarterbacks. Last season he certainly had the stats to support that. The numbers are decidedly less convincing this season, especially since Rodgers has eclipsed his interception total in 2009 in only seven games in 2010.

On the Packers’ first offensive drive, the team drove inside the Vikings’ red zone, but Rodgers attempted to throw a screen to running back Dimitri Nance, but was intercepted by Jared Allen. It was Rodgers’ eighth interception of the season, passing his mark from the year before.

The ensuing Vikings drive fizzled, as first half Vikings drives are wont to do, and Green Bay responded with a scoring drive that included two Rodgers completions for 69 yards. The drive was capped off with a one-yard Brandon Jackson touchdown run.
