VIDEO: Brett Favre Injury Results In Busted Chin, Eight Stitches
Vikings QB Brett Favre was injured on Sunday against the Patriots. Patriots’ Myron Pryor hit Favre as he was throwing the ball in the red zone and Pryor’s helmet apparently made contact with Favre’s chin causing him to hit the deck and quickly grab his face.
Trainers came to Favre’s aid helping him off the field and tending to him as the was in obvious pain. There appeared to be blood coming off of his chin. It was later confirmed that Favre received eight stitches for the laceration to his chin.
As for his other injury, Favre’s bum ankle withstood the Patriots on Sunday. He’s expected to play next week so it doesn’t sound like either injury will end his consecutive games streak which now stands at 292.
The Vikings lost the game to the Patriots 28-18 after Tarvaris Jackson relieved Favre.
