Randy Moss Released: Dolphins, Seahawks Reportedly Showing Interest

The Minnesota Vikings released Randy Moss on Monday sending a shock through the NFL community. Now that the news has settled in the 31 other teams in the league are going to have to decide if they want to claim him off of waivers (here are the NFL waiver wire rules). There are plenty of teams that are intrigued by the on-the-field Randy Moss but likely an equal number of teams that are scared away by the off-the-field Randy Moss.

It's still very early in the process but Judd Zulgad of the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reports the Miami Dolphins and Seattle Seahawks are two of the teams expressing interest.

The Dolphins currently have Brandon Marshall who is more of a possession receiver. Adding Moss would give them a new dynamic with the deep ball. The Dolphins would also want to block his return to New England, Zulgad reports.

The Seahawks meanwhile were one of the teams that reportedly were interested in Vincent Jackson early on so we know they're looking for a receiver. The Seahawks are in first place of the NFC West so they have reason to add a dynamic player like Moss even if it is for just one year.

Any of the teams that were interested in Vincent Jackson would likely be interested in Randy Moss.

We’ll find out on Tuesday afternoon whether Moss is claimed and, if so, by whom.
