Brad Childress Issues Official Statement On Randy Moss Release

Vikings head coach Brad Childress released a statement on Monday night making official that news that the team is going to release receiver Randy Moss.

According to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, Childress made the following statement: “This decision was made based on what we thought was in the best interests of the Vikings, both in the short and long term. We wish Randy the best as he moves forward in his career.”

Moss will be officially released on Tuesday but won’t be able to be claimed by other teams until Wednesday at the earliest.
