Roddy White is suffering from a knee injury and enters the Atlanta Falcons Thursday Night Football game against the Baltimore Ravens officially listed as questionable. ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that the injury won't keep him out and he is expected to play.
Thursday Night Football, Ravens Vs. Falcons: Roddy White Injury Won’t Keep Him Out
That’s big news for the Falcons offense as White is playing like a top five receiver right now. He may not be playing at 100 percent on Thursday but SB Nation’s The Falcoholic predicts his presence will be felt.
I don't pretend to know how close to 100 percent he'll be on Thursday, though I can guarantee you'd have to cut him in half to keep him off the field. With Roddy in at close to full strength, the offense can show needed balance as they attempt to give the Ravens defense a Michael Turner enema. With Roddy fulfilling the Randy Moss memorial role and drawing coverage, they should be able to function at a high level.
The Falcoholic predicts limited yards for White but thinks he’ll snag a touchdown pass. White’s presence opens up the offense for the running game and for tight end Tony Gonzalez. They should be fine offensively on Thursday night.
