NFL Picks, Week 10: Carolina Panthers Vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

We continue on with our Week 10 NFL picks with the Carolina Panthers trip to Tampa Bay to take on the Buccaneers. The Panthers, 1-7, are one of the NFL's most disappointing teams while the Bucs, 5-3, are one of the NFL's most surprising teams. The Panthers season is essentially over from a playoff standpoint but they're still trying to make progress with rookie QB Jimmy Clausen at the helm following QB Matt Moore's placement on injured reserve.

This is a rematch after the Bucs beat the Panthers 20-7 in Week 2. The Bucs this season have been beating the teams that they should and losing to the teams that they should. They've lost their three toughest games -- Steelers, Saints and Falcons -- while they've beaten everyone else -- Browns, Panthers, Bengals, Rams and Cardinals.

The Bucs are fairly balanced ranking 19th in both passing and rushing and 20th overall. The Panthers will likely want to run the ball against the Bucs as they rank 30th against the run. Plus, they haven’t exactly been lighting it up in the passing game and likely won’t with what we’ve seen from Clausen this year.

The Bucs are a touchdown favorite against the Panthers and that’s the way you should pick. Expect the Bucs to take care of business by a touchdown or more at home against the struggling Panthers.

Check out Cat Scratch Reader and Bucs Nation for more on the game.
