The Detroit Lions and Dallas Cowboys will meet in Week 11 with identical 2-7 records. I'm not sure anyone would have believed you if you predicted that before the season. The Lions enter the game on a two-game losing streak including most recently a two-point loss to the previously winless Buffalo Bills. The Cowboys finally won their second game of the year in an impressive 13-point victory over the first-place Giants.
NFL Picks Week 11: Detroit Lions Vs. Dallas Cowboys
The Cowboys are favored to win the game but, if it’s anything like the Lions previous losses, it will be close. Six of the Lions seven losses were within one score and four of them were by a field goal or less. The Lions offense can score points -- they pass more than anyone in the league -- but they’re not exactly balanced. That should help the Cowboys defensively focusing on one area of the Lions offense.
The Cowboys will go Romo-less once again in this game. Last week the Cowboys were able to pass for over 300 yards and rush for over 100 yards. In both their victories, they passed at least 277 passing yards and 100 rushing yards. The Lions won't melt down in the secondary but Jon Kitna will have opportunities.
The Cowboys are heavy favorites and I think they’ll start to put a couple wins together now that Jason Garrett is in at head coach. He’ll provide a spark, as the Cowboys remember how to win, and beat the Lions by a touchdown.
