Not twenty minutes ago, we asked if Peyton Manning could lead the Indianapolis Colts back from a 31-14 deficit against the New England Patriots in consecutive years.
Week 11 NFL, Patriots Vs. Colts: Peyton Manning, Blair White Hook Up Again
Of course he can. He’s Peyton Manning. It probably shouldn’t have even been asked.
Manning found Blair White in the end zone for the second time in three minutes, and New England’s most recent 31-14 lead is now a 31-28 lead, with roughly four minutes remaining in regulation. Manning now has four touchdown passes on the game, but the Colts are still a score away from completing their comeback bid.
Tom Brady and the Patriots take over. Both teams have all three timeouts remaining. Indy’s much-maligned defensive unit has come up with a couple of big stops in the fourth quarter; can they do it again? Can they get the ball back to Peyton Manning?
Of course they can. It’s already happened. Manning and the Colts take over with 2:38 remaining and all of their timeouts on hand.
