The NFC South went 3-0 against the NFC West today, and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers road domination of the San Francisco 49ers may have been the most impressive part. The Bucs offense didn’t set Candlestick on fire (huh? huh?), but they didn’t give the ball away and put together a couple clock-killing drives. Tampa’s defense carried the day, holding the Niners to only 199 yards and forced two turnovers.
NFL Week 11 Scores And Results: Bucs Shut Out 49ers, 21-0
Bucs QB Josh Freeman threw for 136 yards and two scores, while RB LeGarrette Blount ran for 82. QB Troy Smith was San Fran’s lone offensive producer, throwing for 148 and leading the team in rushing. He couldn’t do much against a Bucs front that racked up six sacks and 12 QB hits.
The 7-3 Bucs face the Baltimore Ravens next week. The 3-7 Niners are off to see the Arizona Cardinals.
