The Detroit Lions haven't won on Thanksgiving since the 2003 season but they're looking to change that against the New England Patriots as they take a 14-3 second quarter lead. The Lions scored on a WR Calvin Johnson touchdown reception and a RB Maurice Morris run.
Patriots Vs. Lions: Detroit Surprising New England With 14-3 Second Quarter Lead
Johnson’s touchdown 19-yard touchdown reception came at the end of the first quarter giving the Lions a 7-3 lead over the Patriots.
The Lions forced a Patriots punt and got the ball back driving 63 yards in 13 plays culminating in a RB Maurice Morris touchdown run. The Lions had a fourth and goal from the Patriots two and got the first down on a Shaun Hill QB sneak before Morris punched it in for the 14-3 lead.
QB Tom Brady is getting hit hard and has already been sacked by Lions DT Ndamukong Suh.
