Coming into this week, the New England Patriots were the last one-loss team and the only squad anybody felt comfortable ranking first. That’s all over with now, thanks to the Cleveland Browns, who also have beaten the New Orleans Saints. This is the world we live in.
NFL Scores And Results, Week 9: Cleveland Browns Upset New England Patriots, 34-14
Browns RB Peyton Hillis pounded out 184 yards on the ground, caught another 36, and scored two touchdowns. QB Colt McCoy had his best day, throwing 174 yards without throwing any picks. He also ran in a touchdown.
Patriots QB Tom Brady threw two touchdowns, both to rookie TE Aaron Hernandez. The Browns defense held the Pats to only 283 total yards and swiped three turnovers.
The Pats are now 6-2, like every other team in the league, and the Browns are a highly overqualified 3-5. Next week they get the Pittsburgh Steelers and New York Jets respectively.
