The book on the Seattle Seahawks: they aren’t that good on the road, having gone 1-3 against an unimpressive run of teams, but their home field advantage is among the league’s best. And they were 3-0 at home until the New York Giants came to town.
NFL Scores And Results, Week 9: So Much For Seattle’s Home Field Advantage, As Giants Dominate
In one of the year’s biggest beatdowns — the Giants outgained the Hawks by 325 yards — New York made its claim to fill the void left by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers as the NFC’s best team. QB Eli Manning put up 290 yards and three touchdowns, while Brandon Jacobs, Danny Ware, and Ahmad Bradshaw each ran for more than 57 yards.
Seahawks QB Charlie Whitehurst could’ve played much worse in his NFL debut, especially considering the Giants’ harsh pass rush. Whitehurst completed 12 of 23 for 113, but threw two picks.
6-2 New York gets the Dallas Cowboys at home next week. The 4-4 Seahawks travel to visit division rival Arizona.
