Al Harris was released by the Packers on Monday and signed with the Dolphins on Wednesday.
Al Harris To Dolphins: Former Green Bay Packers CB Signs With Miami
Last November Harris suffered a season-ending knee injury that kept him sidelined to this point. The Packers had him on the PUP list to start the season but his agent says he’s been practicing for several weeks and is in shape to play. That the Dolphins signed him is evidence of that.
Harris now leaves one of the NFC’s best teams for a 4-4 Miami team that’s lost four of its last six games. The Dolphins rank 13th in passing yards given up so Harris will be expected to help shore that up a little bit.

Harris has been on the PUP list after suffering a significant knee injury. SB Nation’s Acme Packing Company writes that Harris also has more depth at the corner position working against him.
We’re not quite sure where he stands with that injury but his agent, Jack Bechta, tells Joe Fortenbaugh of NFP that Harris has been ready to play for several weeks and “we expect he’ll be claimed by another team when the opportunity presents itself.” The question now becomes where Harris will go next. Teams will likely be interested under the condition that he’s fully healthy.
