Broncos rookie CB Perrish Cox was reportedly arrested Thursday night for sexual assault.
Perrish Cox Accused Of Drugging, Raping, Impregnating Victim In Sexual Assault Case
The details of the pending sexual assault case against Denver Broncos cornerback Perrish Cox were released on Friday and they include allegations of a drugging, as well as a resulting pregnancy. Cox was arrested in December after allegedly assaulting the victim in late October.
Cox maintains he left the apartment after the victim passed out and has not yet seen the affidavit. Cox’s trial is set to begin on Oct. 18 and he could face life in prison if convicted.

That is, until recently. A redacted version of the affidavit was set to be released on Friday, but District Judge Paul King delayed the release on Wednesday, reports the Denver Post. Now Cox’s defense attorney will appeal to the Colorado Supreme Court. No one is sure when a ruling would come, but July 14 is the first day it could happen. It could take significantly longer.
None of the attorneys in this case have asked for the release of the affidavit, believing the information could prejudice the jury against Cox or the alleged victim. The trial is set to take place on Oct. 18. If found guilty, Cox could face charges of up to life in prison.
