According to the victim, a night of partying with Cox and teammates Demaryius Thomas and Cassius Vaughn led to the incident, which she does not remember. She added that she only consumed four drinks, remembers kissing Cox, but woke up feeling as though something was wrong.
According to the Denver Post, the alleged victim told police she thinks she was drugged while partying with Cox and two other Broncos who aren't facing charges: Demaryius Thomas and Cassius Vaughn.
Per the report, DNA tests revealed that Cox was the baby's father. However, the woman said in an affidavit seeking Cox's arrest that she wasn't acquainted with Cox and had never knowingly had sex with him.
Cox maintains he left the apartment after the victim passed out and has not yet seen the affidavit. Cox’s trial is set to begin on Oct. 18 and he could face life in prison if convicted.
