The NFL playoff picture is starting to emerge in both the AFC and NFC.
NFL Playoff Picture: Ravens Jump Jets In AFC Wildcard Race
That leaves two wildcards. Before Monday night’s game, the Jets held the fifth overall playoff spot and top wildcard at 9-4. Now that the Ravens have won, they actually leapfrog the Jets because they own the tiebreaker (head-to-head matchup). So the Ravens are now the fifth seed while the Jets are the sixth seed.
That chances the matchups we’d see if the playoffs started today. That now means the Jets would be traveling to Kansas City to play the Chiefs and the Ravens would travel to Jacksonville to play the Jaguars.

As the 2010 NFL season winds down we’re going to be seeing plenty of NFL playoff scenarios being thrown around. After Week 14, there are only 25 teams still mathematically eligible for the playoffs which of course means seven teams have been eliminated from the playoffs already.
