Houston Texans WR Andre Johnson left the field early in the second quarter of tonight’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles with an apparent ankle injury. He tweaked his leg while running an end-around late in the first quarter. As he left the field alongside team personnel, he was visibly limping.

He then re-entered the game later in the second, catching a 42-yard lob from QB Matt Schaub up the left sideline and setting up a Jacoby Jones touchdown catch.
Johnson missed one game earlier this year due to an ankle injury, though it’s not clear at the moment whether this is the same ankle. Before this season, he last missed time in 2007.
Last week Johnson got into a fight with Tennessee Titans CB Cortland Finnegan, but neither player was suspended. The Texans need Johnson tonight, falling behind 17-3 to the Eagles early before Jones' score. He has 869 yards this season, slightly behind the 1,500-yard clip he’d established the previous two years in a row.
