Ryan Tolbert Diagnosed With Sprained Neck, Bruised Shoulder
In the first quarter of Sunday’s Chargers-Bengals game, San Diego’s running back Mike Tolbert went down with a scary injury, taking a hit and fumbling the ball. Tolbert stayed on the field for several minutes before being carted off on a stretcher.
Fortunately, the injury has been diagnosed as only a sprained neck and bruised shoulder, a bit of good news for the Chargers and their fans on an otherwise disappointing Sunday that saw their playoff hopes come to an end with the loss in Cincinnati.

Tolbert took a hit and fumbled the ball midway through the first quarter against the Bengals, then stayed down on the field for several minutes. He was carted from the field on a stretcher, but did manage to give a thumbs up to the crowd as he left.
