The Houston Texans jumped out to an early 17 to nothing lead but could not hold on as Tim Tebow led the Denver Broncos to a 24-23 win.

Tebow, a rookie drafted in the first round (25th overall) of the 2010 NFL Draft, ran for six yards to give the game to the Broncos 3:02 left in the fourth quarter. The lefty three for 308 yards in his second start in the NFL and a touchdown, along with an interception. Running back Correll Buckhalter aided Tebow in easing into his new role, catching three passes for 50 yards including a 23-yard touchdown reception. Buckhalter added 42 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries.
Houston had scored 17 unanswered points during the first half through running back Arian Foster's three yard touchdown run and Matt Schaub's three yard touchdown pass to tight end Owen Daniels, plus a 34-yard field goal by kicker Neil Rackers. The Texans added six points on 54-yard and 57-yard field goals by Rackers.
The Broncos were behind 23-10 heading into the fourth quarter before Tebow connected with Buckhalter and then ran in the short touchdown to give the Broncos the 24-23 lead that they would not relinquish.
