RB Danny Woodhead took a short crossing route in traffic 35 yards to New York’s 33 — considering his size, losing him near the line of scrimmage is pretty hard to avoid. Another goal line pass interference call changed the drive, but this one went against New England. Deion Branch was flagged for impeding CB Darrelle Revis.
Didn’t matter all that much. QB Tom Brady found WR Brandon Tate in the end zone shortly after, a four-yard touchdown strike. Tate was very close to being out of bounds, getting one foot in before his upper body landed near white, but Ryan hesitated to throw the challenge flag after missing one earlier.
