Jets Vs. Patriots: Tom Brady Says ‘You Can’t Lose To The Same Team Twice’

The New England Patriots flat-out dominated the New York Jets on Monday Night Football in every facet of the game. Offense. Defense. Special teams. You name it -- and the Patriots did it right. The Patriots lost to the Jets earlier in the season so they had some motivation heading into the game.

Patriots QB Tom Brady said after the game that it's simple -- you can't lose to the same team twice.

“You can’t lose to the same team twice,” Brady said. “If you want to win your division, which is our goal, you can’t lose to the same team twice. It’s a team that [was] 9-2 and playing pretty good football. It wasn’t their day. It was our day. But we may see them again.”

Brady said that hasn’t happened very often since he’s been there and the Patriots success in the last decade reflects that. The Patriots now enter the home stretch in control of their own destiny. If they win out, they’ll win the AFC East and control home field advantage throughout the playoffs.

If they play at home like they did Monday night against the Jets, this could be a problem for the rest of the NFL.
