The New England Patriots absolutely bludgeoned the New York Jets on Monday Night Football, 45-3. It was one of those victories that makes you sit back and question just how good the 9-3 Jets really are. On Tuesday morning, Patriots QB Tom Brady was asked on WEEI if he felt sorry for the Jets (via Boston Herald):
Jets Vs. Patriots: ‘No Chance’ Tom Brady Feels Sorry For New York
“Never,” Brady told WEEI, laughing. “Never feel sorry for the Jets. There’s no chance. I had a lot of old Patriots players and coaches text me after the game to express their views on the Jets, as well. There is no love lost between the current Patriots and the current Jets, just like the former Patriots and former Jets. It’s such a great rivalry. We bring out the best in each other.”
“We bring out the best in each other” isn’t exactly an accurate statement. On Monday night, the Patriots brought out the worst in the Jets, who had three interceptions and scored just three points. The Patriots all week called the Jets a great team and, on Monday night, did their best to prove themselves wrong.
