Jets Vs. Patriots: Jets Get Oh So Close...But Patriots Seal The Deal With TD

The Jets were so-close to turning this back into a game. Oh so close.

Their first drive of the second began, ominously, with a Mark Sanchez fumble. They recovered and promptly drove down the field to the Pats’ 9-yard line. Then, with a chance to turn this back into a game. Then Sanchez committed his second error of the drive, and this time the Patriots made him pay. Brandon Spikes intercepted Sanchez at the 2-yard line and New England took over.

From there, it was a hop, skip and jump as Tom Brady led the Pats down the field. Eight plays later he found Wes Welker in the endzone and the score was 31-3 with 4:40 left in the third.

Probably game. Probably set. Probably match.
